"“I, as a parent of a child who has autism, am concerned, and I wanna know the truth ... I'm not anti-vaccine, I want safe vaccines." - Robert De Niro

You probably heard all about the controversy that sparked after "Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Conspiracy," was recently pulled from the Tribeca Film Festival's Lineup. For those who don't know, the film is billed as an investigation into a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention study that found the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine does not cause autism. In this interview on Today's Show, De Niro explains why the film got pulled and expresses great concern about the fact that the scientific and medical community continue to ignore the potential neurological effects of vaccines. I salute De Niro's strength and bravery for speaking out with his heart on a subject that will undoubtably turn a lot of people against him.
