Sometimes introverts may behave the way that most people just don’t seem to comprehend. If you ask anyone else why an introvert does something, they don’t know what to answer, but introverts always have their reasons. There’s a ton of things that other people would never guess about introverts. We are going to list some of them.
- INTROVERTS AREN’T (USUALLY) JUDGING PEOPLE
More often than not introvert is observant and quiet. It’s okay for them to look around at everyone when they are in public because this is their way of estimating the situation or amusing themselves. But to others, it may seem that introverts are quietly judging everyone around them. That could be true but this isn’t the case most of the time. The case in which it could be true is, for example, being annoyed by someone’s behavior.
- THEY GET DISTRACTED EASILY
Never stand behind an introvert when they are doing something. Movement, constant presence of someone behind them, non-rhythmic noises and just noises make them both very distracted and annoyed because too many stimuli are never a good thing for them. However, introverts do enjoy working to soothing sounds (rain, forest, ambient music) and they appreciate quiet environments.
- THEY DON’T LIKE UNEXPECTED VISITORS
In fact, they don’t like anything unexpected because introverts plan a lot of things in advance. They know what they’re going to do for the day. They’ve thought a lot about how they want their day to go and they don’t want anyone to interrupt them. If someone visits them unexpectedly, they usually just don’t have enough energy or aren’t prepared for them at all. So, if you can, avoid visiting introverts unexpectedly.
- THEY HAVE TO GET OUT ONCE IN A WHILE
Despite what you want to think, introverts don’t like to be alone all the time. Every now and then, they like to get out looking for something (or someone) new. It doesn’t mean that they enjoy small talk and surface-level dialogues, they get out to experience something more meaningful. Nevertheless, they need to restore their energy after having a good walk so they come home. And the cycle repeats.
- THEY MAKE THEMSELVES LAUGH
Introverts like their ideas, they love daydreaming, reading, watching something in their own company. It comes to the point that they genuinely make themselves laugh sometimes and it’s okay. They will eventually make you laugh too if they feel comfortable to share their humor with you. Did you know that many comedians are also introverts?
- THEY LIKE PEOPLE AND THEY DON’T
Introverts appreciate good qualities in people, getting to know them well to the point of feeling comfortable around them when nothing is said. But at the same time, they don’t like people keeping fake personalities, sharing gossip, talking about the weather, basically anything that extraverts do, they don’t like. This juxtaposition always has introverts wondering whether they should actually befriend someone or not. And they quickly decide who they want to be a friend and who they do not.
- THEY’RE NOT NECESSARILY BORED, EVEN IF THEY LOOK LIKE THEY ARE
They can be entertained and thrilled while sitting still and you wouldn’t even notice it. That’s because they can be entertained by their own thoughts and if they don’t actively do something, it doesn’t mean that they’re bored at all. After all, introverts are mostly creative and get energized from solo activities.
- THEY NEED TO BE ALONE TO RECHARGE
Introverts need to have alone time to rest. They value real relationships and will gladly have long deep conversations, but the reason they don’t talk too much most of the time is because they try to avoid meaningless exchanges. Introverts dislike having a ton of superficial friends just for the sake of boasting about having a lot of friends purely because of that reason. They need to be alone from time to time because social interactions with many people at one time are draining. People seem to think that introverts are socially awkward or shy but this couldn’t be further away from the truth.
- THEY WISHED OTHERS LOVED AS DEEPLY AS THEY DO
It is said that an introvert is usually in relationships with an extravert, which perfectly explains why one loves their partner more than the other. Introverts think deeply about everything and adore genuine relationships, trying to figure their lover out and what would be best for them, preparing little pleasant things for them. Introverts care deeply about genuine relationships and value them at the highest cost.
- INTROVERTS ARE NOT IN A BAD MOOD
Somehow when people see introverts, something makes them think that they are having a bad day or that they are generally quite moody. They can’t be more wrong than that. Introverts are constantly thinking about something, their brains are constantly on the go. They just don’t pay that much attention to what emotion they’re expressing “outside” at the moment.
Remember. If you ever meet an introvert and become friends with them, they may be one of the nicest and most interesting people you’ll ever meet.
