He Isolated Himself For 25 Years In This Cave. What He Made In It Is Mind-Blowing!

A 75 years old New Mexico man named Ra Paulette has spent the last 25 years in a cave, carving its interior into a magnificent work of art. His only companion? A dog. When asked if he has become “obsessed” with cave digging, he answers “Would you call a child being obsessed with playing?”

Paulette isn’t in it for the money. The San Fransisco Globe reported that he charges only $12 per hour for his commissioned work. In his own words, he does it because he loves it and is having the time of his life.

Can you imagine the sense of being underground, cradled by the earth, surrounded by beautifully intricate carved walls and with light streaming in from high ceilings? It is Paulette’s goal to create a deeply intimate and grounding atmosphere for anyone entering the caves.

The video you are about to see is displaying Paulette’s work and his beautiful philosophy behind it. Please share this article to spread the inspiration! (Scroll down for more pictures)
