Can The Mind Really Heal The Body? Medical Case Studies Might Suggest It As An Irrefutable Aspect of Nature

A Ted Talk by Lissa Rankin, MD:
New age gurus suggest that we can heal ourselves by simply changing our minds, but is this concept grounded in cold, hard science? Lissa Rankin, MD explores the scientific literature, reviewing case studies of spontaneous remission, as well as placebo and nocebo effect data, to prove that our thoughts powerfully affect our physiology when we believe we can get well.

If the question isn’t “IF”, the question could be “How & When” should we consciously apply these effects to ourselves and our family? The effects shown in these studies closely mirror the findings of hypnosis research which has been seen to have these effects to even further extremes. I think we will leave that one for another day 🙂 . This will definitely be an ongoing topic on Soulspot in the near future.
