One of the greatest ways to get toxins out of your home is to rid it of store-bought personal care products; like homemade lotion, toothpaste, hairspray and more. People can spend hundreds, perhaps thousands of dollars on eye serums and products for your face, but you don’t have too you can always make your own!
It is really so easy to do and for a fraction of the cost. By doing this, you are replacing disposable items with reusable ones in your home. The reusable alternative has excellent skin benefits! It is an excellent skin moisturizer, it has wonderful anti-aging and antiviral properties.
This simple 2 ingredient recipe uses coconut oil and beeswax. Coconut oil is extremely moisturizing, eliminates dead skin cells and helps to strengthen the skin tissue. Beeswax provides a protective barrier to the skin without unnecessarily clogging your pores, and it also helps to soothe the skin.
2-Ingrefient Makeup Remover Balm
- ¼ Cup Coconut oil
- 1 Tbsp Beeswax pellets
Add the oil and the pellets to a double boiler, or you can use a glass or metal bowl set over a pot of boiling water. Once the beeswax melts, pour the makeup remover balm into a storage container. Allow the makeup remover to set and cool before use. Store the sealed remover in a cool, dark place. It can be used for several months.
How to Use:
Using a cotton ball or pad, scoop out a small amount of makeup remover. A little goes a very long way, so you do not need a ton of remover to get the job done. Gently wipe off your makeup using the cotton ball or pad. Follow up with a natural facial cleanser.
